Games Library & Club
Guidelines & Access
The Common Room Games Library provides interested persons with a means for trying out new games prior to purchase and/or for an afternoon/evening of entertainment in the store. Games in the library may be checked out and played in-store for a flat fee, or you may join the Common Room Games Club to gain access to any of the games in the Games Library for one (1) year.
The flat fee for single-day use of the games in the Common Room Games Library is as follows: $5 per person for the day.
Alternatively, membership in the Common Room Games Club grants you access to all of the games in the Games Library for one (1) year. The fee for a membership in the Common Room Games Club is as follows: $25 a year per person ($20 for renewals).
Every person playing a game checked out from the games library must either have paid the five dollar ($5) fee for that specific day or be a member in good standing of the Common Room Games Club.
Games may only be used within the store.
Anyone caught damaging, defacing, or stealing games or game pieces will face unpleasant consequences.
Bringing in Your Own Games
While the Common Room strives to be "third place", we are a business first and foremost and need to pay rent and utilities. As such, you are welcome to bring in your own games and play them in the store. However, if you bring in a game that you could have purchased from the store but bought elsewhere, you will be asked to pay a $5 table fee for that game. Exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis.
